Storyline:

Easter has always been a precarious time to be a rabbit, and no one knows this better than Peter Cottontail.  Being the Easter Bunny has had its benefits over the years, but years in the spotlight, as we all know, can drive almost any rabbit to the extremes of sanity.  He’s seen it happen time and time again: his brother’s best friend played The White Rabbit to great fame, only to end up in an insane asylum constantly haunted by the “ticking” sounds of his internal clock reminding him that he is still, in fact, very late for an important date.  Funny thing is no one ever told him his neighbor was addicted to walking around in circles beating a drum… he just keeps going and going and going!

Ever since he was a little rabbit, all Peter was ever interested in was collecting brightly colored eggs.  He was constantly teased for his hobby, forcing him to develop the habit of hiding his eggs across the countryside in an effort to fit in with the normal rabbits in his neighborhood.  Now that he was the poster-boy of the Easter holiday, he could freely pursue his egg collection… that is until humans got word of how fun it was to hunt his eggs for sport!

Now Peter Cottontail has disappeared, and so have his eggs!  Humans around the globe have looked high and low for any signs of Peter and his collection, but with no success.  That is, until now!  XPX, during the scope of its normal operations on our 30-acre Themepark for Paintball, has discovered that Peter has yet again been hiding out right here in Central Florida… at XPX!!!  He has scattered his eggs, as he always has, over our entire field and has taken refuge somewhere out there.  He is said to be absolutely sick of the spotlight and will defend himself, as well as his eggs, against any human intruders.  He has cancelled Easter indefinitely and refuses to allow one egg to leave his hideout ever again!

We, as humans, cannot allow this to occur.  Easter is one of our most beloved holidays and we at XPX are most certainly willing to stand up and fight for it!  Join us on Saturday, April 3rd as we take down the rabbit, gather up all his eggs and reclaim Easter for the world to enjoy!

Rules:

The game will basically break down into a "capture the flag" style, but with over 150 flags (eggs) and two separate teams in play!  Your team's objective is simple:  score the most points possible.  In order to score points, players must find hidden eggs on the field and return them to their team's bin located at their established base HQ.  Each egg in your team's bin will score you 1 point per half hour.  There will be special "golden" eggs in play, which will score your team 5x a regular egg (5 points) per half hour.  Base raids on enemy teams are encouraged, so protect your team's bin and eggs!  The team with the most points at the end of the game will win!

At the start of the game, each team's bin will be located at that individual team's insertion point.  During the first hour of the game (11:00am - 12:00pm), each team may move their bin anywhere they chose on the field to establish their base HQ, but may only place their bin within a 10' radius of one of the "numbered" locations on the provided game map.  At the end of that first hour (12:00pm), each team MUST have their bin located in one of the numbered locations on the field.  If a team has not yet established their bin on a numbered location, a referee will designate that team's bin to the closest unoccupied numbered location for the remainder of the game.  If at any time a team wishes to relocate their bin to another numbered location AFTER the 12:00pm cutoff time, that team may trade in 10 eggs to their base referee and will be allocated one (1) extra hour to relocate their bin, however each team can only relocate their bin one (1) time during the game.  Bins may be raided at ANY time while the game is in play including during relocation, so keep those bins and eggs protected at all times!

What Easter Egg hunt would be complete without the Easter bunny?!?  Well, he's out there... somewhere.  He may be armed, he may not be.  You may choose to shoot him, you may choose not to.  The only thing we know about him is that he has been trying to collect all of his eggs, however he has had little time to prepare.  Because of this, the only eggs he's been able to collect were his most valuable eggs.  If you happen to spot him, you will more than likely have a good chance of finding one of these eggs... so keep your eyes peeled!  On top of that, the magazines & newspapers have been hunting for photographs of this guy and are willing to pay top dollar for the best picture possible, so if you happen to have your camera or cell phone camera handy while on the field when you spot the rabbit... shoot a picture of him!  The best picture brought to the game coordinator BEFORE 4:30pm will win your team an extra 50 bonus points toward your final score!

At the end of the day we will have a final battle.  The team with the most points by 5:00pm will team up with the Easter Bunny himself in our final battle!  If the defending team can successfully hold back the attackers for the full half hour battle time, they will win the event!  If they are unsuccessful, the attacking team will be awarded 75 points towards their team's final score.  In that situation the team with the most points will win the event!
